NEW's partners bring a wealth of experience in the secondary and post-secondary education industry.

In addition, the partners have assembled a group of experienced consultants in the areas of teaching, administration, marketing, sales, and technology who contribute to projects in accordance with individual project needs.

Ilse Wolfe
Founding Partner

Ilse worked in marketing and sales for educational publishing companies for more than 25 years before launching her own consulting business in 2004. Much of her consulting work has focused on digital content and delivery in K-12 and post-secondary education. With her extensive market knowledge, she has established a reputation for innovative strategies and high standards of excellence, and is considered a thought-leader by educational technology and publishing companies.

Prior to NEW Publishing Solutions, Ilse served as the associate director of marketing at John Wiley & Sons and held managerial positions in sales and marketing at both Pearson and Harcourt. She was elected to her local board of education, and she is a board member of HOW Global, a non-profit organization focusing on clean water projects in Africa and Haiti.

She holds a bachelor's degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Sheryl Adams

Sheryl joins NEW with 30 years of experience in Higher Education publishing. Sheryl began her career in sales in New York City selling to schools across the five boroughs in a vast array of disciplines from Accounting to Engineering. She then went on to lead a team of in-side sales representatives, advertising team, and domestic and international marketing team, before turning her attention to market development.

Sheryl’s ability to uncover the true challenges and opportunities through data and discovery will help you and your project by providing informed guidance and solutions.

Sheryl attended Washington & Jefferson College and Tufts University.

Katherine Fligg

Katherine Fligg joined NEW in 2012 and has been involved in many marketing research, marketing due-diligence, and business development projects. Her work has included researching the assessment field for educators, online programs, ebook platforms as well as business development efforts for a non-profit, open educational resource project.

Katherine has more than 15 years of experience in sales and marketing in both the technology sector and post-secondary education. She was one of the founding members of McGraw-Hill's Institutional Solutions team, where she focused on market research and development to drive new products and services for a newly defined customer, the post-secondary institution.

Katherine holds an undergraduate degree from Assumption College and a master's degree from Mills College.

Patricia Murphree

Pat joins our consulting group with more than 25 years of outstanding and successful experience in textbook publishing sales and marketing management. Pat's career has included a number of senior executive management positions in marketing and sales, where she recruited and trained many successful publishing professionals. She also has extensive experience in international selling as well as selling across secondary and post-secondary markets.

Pat's outstanding communication skills have always been the hallmark of her experience and will be of tremendous value to you and your project.

Pat holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Mississippi and a master's from the University of Houston.
